A dreamy French country estate nestled in the bucolic neighborhoods of Greenwich, Connecticut, Claiborne Swanson Frank’s recently renovated home captures the true meaning of modern elegance. When I first set my eyes on the pictures of her home, it instantly became one of my favorites. Her use of a classic blue and white color palette punctuated with pops of coral pink in the sunroom and whimsical red printed wallpaper in the children’s’ rooms, make for a timeless design.
Swanson Frank enlisted the help of Asia Baker Stokes to decorate the house and bring her vision to life. Light and airy, the home boasts incredible fabrics and textures – Schumacher stripes, Le Grand Corail Camaieux florals, Pierre Frey ikat, and earthy rattan furniture and window treatments. One detail that also stands out is how the pair perfectly achieved a layered look through the home, with piles of fabulous books, incredible art, and an array of potted plants.
Venturing outdoors, Swanson Frank’s estate features a charming storybook garden, an ideal setting for her young children to play. An abundance of nature surrounds the home, with 200-year-old trees, rolling lawns and a winding creek. It truly seems like the most magical place to live and raise a family!
And so, here are images of this incredible property. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have and perhaps even find inspiration for your own home!
